Grocery Shopping Overhaul
Since September I’ve been on a mission to get the grocery bill CUT in this household. It’s taken me WEEKS to get this huge feat accomplished and i’m just now starting to really reap the benefits of my hard work! Although I don’t have time to go into it all here, you can check how HOW i’ve been able to do this by reading the following sites:
These women have helped me cut HUNDREDS out of our budget. In October I cut 130.00 out easily and my goal for November is to cut out another 50.00, and by December, I hope to have us getting all grocery items….including tolietries, diapers, dog food, etc…for 70.00 per week. When you compare that to what I was spending, it’s a HUGE difference! (and remember we have 6 in our family!)
The neat thing is, I’m buying name brands and getting MORE food and better quality, and spending less…gotta love that! Here is what I got today for example….
And I only paid …..get ready…..
$10.41!!!!!
Check out the sites and get ready to save!!!!

Sister/Friend
Oh, the games that these girls play….. Avery and Ally have several “games” that they play and I don’t want to forget them, so I’m recording them here….
1. “Sister”
In this game, they are obviously, sisters. They pretend to be older, teenagers (Lord, help me) and have cell phones and such.
2. “Friend”
Here, they are friends and play/pretend that they are inviting each other over to play. Many nights, when called to dinner, they come and introduce me to “Hannah” or “Mallory” and ask if she can stay and eat. On these nights, “Hannah” and “Mallory” will only respond to such names…so calling Ally to brush her teeth is pointless! Call “MALLORY!” and she comes a runnin’!
3. “Honey”
This interaction is between a mom and her “honey.” For the record, I don’t, now have I ever, called Jay “honey.” Anyway, someone is the “honey” and they always have lots of babies and introduce me to the other one as, “this is my honey.” This one really cracks me up!
Out of a Mama’s mouth…..
MckMama blog post today had me laughing so hard I cried, so I decided to do one of my own…so here goes:
Things you might hear at my house that only a mama would understand….
“No, you may not put her in the dryer! I KNOW she fits, but dryers are NOT the place for little girls!”
“No you will probably not be getting a cell phone when you’re 10. Nope, not 11. Maybe when you’re 16. yes, that is “forever” away.
“Can someone please tell me why there are peanuts in the DVD player?!”
“I am going to get the spoon.”
“Yes, mama is bleeding, yes I am fine. No I do not need a band-aid. You have to bleed to have a baby. No, you will not for a long time. No I do not need help with this. Could you leave the bathroom and give mama some privacy please?”
“No, you cannot get pregnant before you are married. No you do not get pregnant the DAY you get married.”
“PLEASE stop coloring on your sister, crayons are for paper”
So what is said at YOUR house???

LLOOOONNNGGG Overdue Post
Honestly, there are seasons of our life when time goes really slow...(like waiting 127 days for approval to go get Ashley!) and times, when it seems like it goes in warp speed! The last few weeks have been just that...FLYING! By the time everyone is in bed, and Jay and I have tme to actually have conversation, blogging is the last thing I can add to my plate. So thanks if anyone is still checking in!
Speaking of "seasons" we are entering into a new one...we are loosing our sweet "Ms. Cyndy" who the Lord has provided for us over the last few years here. She's moving to FL! (don't say I blame her...sandy beaches and retirement look REALLY good these days!) Having 4 kids is HARD. Having 4 kids and being 8-12 hours from grandparents/family is HARDER. Hear me right...we love it here, and we know that this is where God has us at this time. Ms. Cyndy has been a literal life saver for our family and we are really really not sure what we are going to do without her. Please be praying for her and her family and for our family as we all adjust!
OK, on to the maddnes....here is a quick, fast rundown of the last few weeks....
My first baby girl turned SEVEN.
SEVEN.
She got a karaoke machine for her birthday and she's totally tone deaf but has the moves of rockstar~! She LOVES it!
Here's what else she did....got her ears piecered! She was so brave! Look at Ally in this pic....gotta love a little sister!
Everyone went back to school! Avery to 2nd, Ally to Kindergarten, and...Annalyse to Mother's Day Out (praise the Lord sweet baby Jesus, can I get an AMEN?!)
I also had a bday, and Jay and I celebrated 10 years of marital bliss!! I cannot believe it's been 10 years since we walked down the isle...time flies when you're having fun, right?! Life sure has changed a LOT in the last 10 years, and I cannot wait to see what HE has in store for the next 10!!
