October 2010
October brought more soccer, and a fun trip to the GA mountains! Avery, you con’t to love soccer and your team did so well! Ally, we are still enjoying our days, especially our homeschool classes on Fridays! This is your chance to be around other kids like you and you love your art and “Girls Club” classes.
Annalyse and Ashley and I headed to Ellijay, Ga for a weekend in the mountains with Ms. Kim, Elim and Malachi. We love this family so much and it was a nice get-away from our routine. We picked apples and stayed with “m&m” and “mr. Dub” (David Joiners’ parents) at their amazing house in the mountains. The Lord gave us such a sweet time up there, and we can’t wait to go again someday.
October also means Marks Melon Patch! Unfortunately it was SO HOT when we went, but the girls still had fun playing in the patch and riding the hayride.
At the end of the month, Mama and Daddy took a 10 day trip to Israel! That trip will get a post of it’s own, but it was amazing!
Finally, we spent the entire month praying our baby brother home!! Asher, even though you are not here with us, you are constantly in our thoughts and we talk about you several times a day. We wonder what you’re doing and how fast you are growing. We cannot wait to hold you, little man!

September 2010
Well it’s FINALLY beginning to feel like fall in south GA! Just in the last two weeks it’s been in the 70’s….what an improvement! We were able to get pictures of our sweet baby boy…oh, my….somebody put me on a plane NOW. Seriously, can we fast forward to December? PLEASE? I cannot WAIT to kiss these sweet cheeks!
Despite having our hearts on two different continents, we finished another month of Homeschooling! Here’s Ally writing her spelling words in fingerpaint…and Annaluse contemplating how she can destroy something with it :)
Avery continues to love soccer and in September she went 3 for 3! She scored a goal in all three of her games and we are SOOO proud! The little girls cheer “number TWO, number TWO” while she plays. She’s also rocking it at school with awesome grades! She is most proud of her “sword drills” (bible drill) because she is consistently the class champion. This girl knows the Word and we love that.
Annalyse and Ashley working hard! Annalyse is sorting by color and using those fine motor skills by doing it with tongs. In September we worked on letters C, D and E. We also did a few lessons on Fall and changing leaves complete with a “leaf hunt” and a project.
Ashley threading pipe cleaners through a parmesan cheese shaker (new, not used.)
lastly, ALLY LOST HER FIRST TOOTH!! She was SOO excited! She didn;t scream like a banshee like her older sister (amen) and it came out just 2 days after she realized it was loose! She’s asked for $3.00 and I think the tooth fairy can manage that! Ally girl you are growing up toooo fast for your mama!
I love that Fall is finally here and can’t wait to head to the pumpkin patch and next weekend, a first for us….a trip to the apple orchards in north GA! PLENTY of pics to come!
Hopefully in just 2 months, we’ll be in CHINA!!

August 2010
August, as always was another full month in our house! It began with my birthday (we will not say which one:) and the girls and Jay surprised me with a beautiful cake that was SOO good! Then my friend Kim got me this beautiful necklace…it even has Asher’s name :)
Jay and I celebrated 11 years of marriage! The “busyness” of the month meant we didn’t celebrate on the 14th, but we had dinner later that week…I am so blessed to be married to my husband…God is so good!
Then, it was on to the first days of school!! This year brought a change to our home… Ally is homeschooling! It has been such an adventure but I can honestly say we are loving it. She is so much happier and even the little girls are doing preschool at home, instead at mothers day out. It’s been a blessing and so much FUN!
Being at home means..trips to the museum, color matching and impromptu “camping trips” in the front yard….
Avery stayed at SCA and began 3rd grade! I cannot believe that she is old enough for 3rd grade! She LOVES school and said her 1st day of school was “the best day of the year!”
Speaking of Avery, she also had a birthday in August! She’s EIGHT!! Oh my! We celebrated with a fun slumber party and she and her friends had a blast!
Avery Kate, we are so proud of who you are becoming! You are beautiful on the inside and out. You love your baby sisters and you are a daddy’s girl! I cannot believe you are already 8 years old. You got new earrings for your birthday and we now change them everyday! Your family loves you, baby girl!
We are looking forward to FALL around here. It’s gotten up to 110 degrees several times this summer. Asher is still always on our minds and we cannot wait for a baby brother!

Beach Trip with the Fam!
The summer wouldn’t be complete without one more trip to the beach….this time with Nana, Pop, and the Smith’s! This year was a wonderful time, once again. The girls played for hours on end at the beach and pool and got lots of nana and pop lovin’. Tyler, Avery and Ally had a blast and Ashley perfected her “dive”….floaties and all :) Special memories include hunting for hermit crabs, eating at Lamberts, and Ally calling it “The Orange Beach.” We were ALL sad to leave…
