My Beautiful Student of the Month
Avery was Student of the Month at her school in March! She has been waiting for this honor for a LONG time! Her daddy was there speaking at chapel so he got to see her called up on stage. We are so proud of you Avery! You are such a beautiful, smart, loving little lady and you are growing in the Lord daily. We love you!
Hostess Cupcake Cake
My husband has a thing for Little Debbie.
Such a thing, he requested a “litte debbie” grooms cake at our wedding.
He did not get it.
10 years later, I have now found the answer to the little debbie grooms cake.
Actually, my MIL found it. But I made it for him! So here ya go….
Starts with a cake mix, substituting buttermilk for the water. Bake it in 3 layers. Mine had mini choc. chips in it, hence the little black dots.
Stack another layer and lay it on THICK.
I used Pioneer Woman’s “Best tasting frosting ever” and it was DIVINE.
I think that Cake Boss calls this “dirty icing”
But i’m a minister’s wife and that doesn’t sound like something I should be doing :)
Where were we? yes, buttercream.
Next, make some homemade choc. buttercream. Yep. 2 home made icings.
Did I mention DIVINE?
Grab your children and put them to work. Licking the bowl, of course.
I promise they won’t object.
For the finishing touch, add the trademark “swirl”….just to make it look realistic.
And I promise…give it about 4 days 4 hours….and it’ll look like this.
Ok maybe not in 4 hours.
Ok, yes, in 4 hours….
